Forex
lessons
Hi everyone,
I've set up this website called Forex lessons as a helper to
anyone who is interested in this exciting and profitable
market.
Forex is an abbreviation for the Foreign Exchange Market,
sometimes known as the currency market. It is a huge industry
which has an enormous liquid market, which makes it easy to
trade different currencies from around the world. It is a
non-stop, 24 hour a day market, where brokers and traders can
buy and sell money to try and make a profit. It is also used as
a way for companies and individuals to transfer money
overseas.
First of Forex lessons is that you may have already traded
in the Forex market without actually knowing it; even the
simple act of exchanging money for a trip overseas and
converting it back again when you come home, is an example of
Forex trading.
This enormous market is estimated to trade over 3 billion US
Dollars each day; it is open between 8pm (GMT) Sunday to 10pm
(GMT) Friday every week, giving plenty of opportunities to make
a profit. The Forex market used to be solely open to bankers
and professional traders, but was opened up to everyone in the
1990’s. Many ordinary people now trade on the Forex market and
make a substantial profit. Second Forex lesson: this market is
so big that no one person or institution can have a real impact
on the price of currencies.
So how is it possible to trade around the world constantly?
The Forex market is spilt into three zones, namely Europe,
Australasia and North America. Within these zones are financial
centres; for example, Europe has centres in Paris and London.
It is usual that as one area closes for trading another one
opens, which allows the 24 hour trades to take place. Although
one zone maybe closed you are still able to trade with
currencies from that region. Forex lessons conclusion? you can
trade in the Forex market wherever you live!.

The Forex market should not be confused with the stock
market which is an entirely different entity. In Forex lessons
we really think that Forex is the best option for traders: why?
Keep on reading.
Many people prefer to trade on the Forex market because it
is considered to be an “over-the-counter” market; this means
that trades are not conducted by way of an exchange, but
directly between two parties. The Forex market is essentially
conducted by way of telephone calls or computer networks, which
means that the middle man has been cut out altogether.
Other international markets are considerably smaller than
the Forex market and have some disadvantages. For example, the
stock market is only open for a few hours each day. The 24 hour
Forex market allows people to trade at any time that is
convenient to them. This is why so many ordinary people are
able to trade whilst holding down a full-time job. Unlike the
stock and commodities markets, the Forex market does not charge
commissions on trades. These other markets may charge you
exchange fees as well as commission; this is not applicable on
the Forex market due to the “over-the-counter” setup.
The Forex market also has several other benefits over other
trading options. For example, the trends or patterns that the
currency market has are usually quite repetitive. This means
that there is less risk of making a loss and speculating the
trend of the currencies can become easier as you become more
used to trading. Stock markets are harder to predict and do not
have these easily identifiable trends. There is more risk
involved as stocks could go down when they have been predicted
to go up and vice versa.
